This guide explains how to use SurveyMars’s AI Generate Image feature: automatically create images based on your survey title and optional description for questionnaire appearance, QR code sharing, social media sharing, one-question-per-page, and more. Multiple aspect ratios and styles are supported; you can download images or apply them directly to the current setting.

Overview

AI Generate Image creates images from your survey title and lets you choose aspect ratio, style, and optional extra instructions. Generated images can be used for questionnaire appearance, QR code sharing, social media sharing, and one-question-per-page layouts. The system suggests the most suitable default size for the entry point you use. All generated images are labeled “AI Generated.”

Where to Find It

You can open AI Generate Image from any of these places:

1. Questionnaire appearance: In the questionnaire design page, go to appearance settings and find the AI Generate Image entry.

2. QR code sharing: In share or distribution settings, open the QR code sharing section and use AI Generate Image for the QR background or accompanying image.

3. Social media sharing: In social sharing settings, use AI Generate Image for the share image.

4. One-question-per-page settings: In one-question-per-page style or decoration settings, use AI Generate Image for page background or decoration.

Each entry point preselects the most suitable size for that scenario; the preview matches the corresponding feature. The same entries and settings are available on mobile.

Use Cases

- Questionnaire cover or appearance: Set a consistent look for your survey.

- QR code sharing: Generate images or backgrounds suited to scan scenarios.

- Social media sharing: Generate share images in sizes and styles suited to social platforms.

- One-question-per-page: Add background or decorative images to single-question pages.

Setup Steps

1. From questionnaire appearance, QR code sharing, social sharing, or one-question-per-page settings, click “AI Generate Image”.

2. A settings dialog opens. Before any image is set, the dialog shows a settings area on top and an example area below. The current survey title is shown by default, with a note that the image will be generated from it.

3. Aspect ratio: Choose from the dropdown. The default is the best fit for the current entry. Options include:

- 1:1 Square, 2:3 Social, 3:4 Classic, 4:3 Article, 9:16 Mobile wallpaper, 16:9 Desktop wallpaper

4. Style: Choose a style from the dropdown; default is “Auto”. Options include: Auto, Portrait, Cinematic, Chinese style, Anime, 3D render, Cyberpunk, CG animation, Ink wash, Oil painting, Classical, Watercolor, Cartoon, Flat illustration, Landscape, Hong Kong anime, Pixel art, Fluorescent painting, Colored pencil, Figure, Children’s drawing, Abstract, Sharp pen illustration, Anime 2D, Ink print, Printmaking, Monet, Picasso, Rembrandt, Matisse, Baroque, Retro anime, Picture book, and more.

5. Other requirements (optional): Enter additional instructions for the AI in the text box, up to 2000 characters.

6. After clicking “Generate”, a loading indicator is shown. When generation finishes, the left side of the dialog shows the AI chat (where you can refine the request) and the right side shows the image preview.

7. You can:

- Download: Save the current image to your device.

- Apply: Apply the image to the current feature (e.g. questionnaire appearance, QR sharing) and close the AI Generate Image dialog.

8. A note at the bottom of the dialog reminds you to download or apply in time; the system does not save generation history. All generated images are labeled “AI Generated.”

Important Notes

- Different entry points (appearance, QR sharing, social sharing, one-question-per-page) preselect different default sizes; adjust as needed.

- Generation history is not stored. To keep an image, download it or click “Apply” to save the setting.

- All generated images include an “AI Generated” label to indicate the source.

- The feature works the same on mobile and desktop.

FAQs

Q: Why is my default size different from someone else’s?

A: The system picks the best default for the entry you used (appearance, QR sharing, social sharing, or one-question-per-page). You can still change the aspect ratio manually.

Q: I didn’t download or apply in time. Can I get that image again?

A: The system does not save generation history. If you didn’t download or click “Apply,” that image cannot be retrieved; you’ll need to generate again.

Q: What can I put in “Other requirements”?

A: You can describe color preferences, mood, elements (e.g. people, scene), and other details to guide the AI, up to 2000 characters.

Q: Can I remove the “AI Generated” label from the image?

A: All images from this feature are labeled “AI Generated” to indicate the source; removing the label is not supported.
