Westmorland & Furness Direct Payments recommission 2026-2027

Westmorland & Furness Council is currently reviewing how Direct Payments services will be commissioned from April 2027. We want to understand the public's awareness, expectations and priorities to help shape future services.
A Direct Payment is an amount of money paid to W&F residents to meet their assessed eligible care and support needs. Direct Payments are designed to give recipients choice and control over their care, promoting flexibility and independence.

The way Direct Payments are spent varies from person to person. Many people utilise the funds by employing a Personal Assistant, acquiring personal care from private agencies, short-term care in a care home, attending day activities which meet their eligible needs or purchasing equipment which help them remain safe and independent in their own home.

This survey should take around 5 minutes to complete. Your answers are anonymous.
