Save the Barthomley Lion
Survey Description
As a community, we voted on the 26th August at a Parish meeting to try to buy the Barthomley White Lion and run it as a community pub, and on the 23rd September, Cheshire East council accepted our proposal to form a community group to buy the pub. The White Lion is an important part of village life. It gives people somewhere to meet, supports the Church and Village Hall and brings people into Barthomley. Since it closed, many residents have felt the loss of that social connection. A steering group has been formed to Save the Barthomley Lion, who are consulting with the wider community to find out what they would like to see from their local pub. This survey is our first step. We’d like to know what you would want from a community owned White Lion. Please be as honest as possible. The survey is anonymous unless you choose to leave your details for updates.
