Many of you were celebrating World Book Day in some amazingly creative ways and it has been great to see children’s passion and enjoyment of reading. As many of you are aware, with it being the National Year of Reading, the Rochdale Borough Children’s Champions are working hard to raise awareness of and increase the use of library services. We are in the process of putting together a library map, a pledge for the LA, getting funding for box libraries in parks and soon to launch a bookmark competition (watch this space!). One area where the children would really appreciate your help is getting information for you as parents. There are just 4 questions here which the children’s council want to ask as many parents as possible. Could we please ask you to answer the questions below, it will only take a couple of minutes and will really help us find out what steps we need to take to help enable more children to use libraries and enjoy reading.
